All of my mother's side of the family either love to cook or bake. Some like to do both. As a member of the family, I think I have some of that passion within me. I personally prefer to bake. I love desserts and chocolate and cookies and all of the junk! 

I thought to focus on food and delicious looking treats! So here are my finds for this week. I hope you guys don't get as hungry as I got when I found them. They look exquisite, to say the least! Enjoy!

BTS: How To Survive Sophomore Year?♡

          I started school last Monday and I've been super stressed already. I think I've been doing a pretty good job not procrastinating so far. Procrastination is not an option when you have all honors classes and you want to sleep. 

          As soon as I walked in the school Monday morning, I felt like I never left. It felt like I had absolutely no break. I think the reason is mainly because it's my sophomore year. So far it feels like sophomore year is nothing special. It feels like it won't be anything special. But then again, it's up to me to make it special and memorable. 

         Right now my main focus is getting good grades....and watching football games. Hehe. Mainly getting good grades. I procrastinated enough in middle school and freshman year, no need for that anymore. 

         I really need your advice right now. I need help with studying tips and staying consistent with my non procrastinating habit. I know it's been only one week with this habit but I must stick with it. Also, do you have any advice for sleep. I love my sleep and sometimes I have to sacrifice a couple of hours. Sometimes I have extra time and I manage to sleep a lot more but I still wake up really tired next morning. 

What should I do? What do you think? How did you survive it? Any other tips in general? Please leave me a comment below and let me know what runs through your brain. :D

Wishing Well: Random Drugstore Products♡

          Wishing Well Wednesday...things I would love to try out, things I am dying to obtain. This is a perfect opportunity for all of us to come together and rave about certain things, whatever they might be that day. Some posts may be focused on a specific brand or item, while other posts, like today, may be simply random and fun.

          This week is all about random drugstore products. Who doesn't love drugstore products? They're great quality and super affordable (most of them). :D

 $2.79 @ CVS - I've heard so many great things about this bronzer! The most intriguing thing I've heard is that it is build able, therefore you can control the pigmentation. 

$24.99 @ CVS - While this is an overpriced item for its size, I'd still give it a go. My hair is super important to me and I think it deserves great things, and this might be one of them.

 $9.99 @ CVS - Maybelline is my favorite brand for mascaras, no doubt about it. The reason I'd love to try this is because it's organic. I'm not big on organic stuff but since mascara is important in my daily routine, I would love to have something more naturally based rather than other chemicals. 

$5.69 @ CVS-As much as make up fascinates me, I don't wear much. I have really oily skin and I've heard reviews about how well this powder controls that.

Radiancy: Baby I♡

          I love my hair. I can be a total brat/show-off when it comes to it, why deny it? My hair is the only thing I feel genuinely confident about. It's the thing I love the most about myself. My hair is like my baby, I care for it, I massage it, and I love it. Ahahaha. Call me weird but that's just how I roll. ;P

          This "Radiancy" post is all about hair...sort of. This are just some of my random finds this week. Some are celebrities, while others are random people.

          I love long hair, but not every has it. I kept those people in mind. :D I also made sure to include hairstyles that would appeal to short haired girls. Let me know what you guys think of all of these pictures.

Bitter-Sweet Memories♡

          Hello, beautifuls! I hope you're all doing just fine. I decided to post a more...personal note. 

          As my summer comes to an end, my dread for my sophomore year starts to take over. I'm not dreading the school nor the work, I'm dreading my future. Time doesn't stop for anybody and I still don't know what I want to do, especifically.  

          My sister (BFF) and I decided to go to the mall yesterday. It's actually pretty boring because our apartment complex is literally down the street from the mall. We always walk to and from the mall. Same stores and nothing too exciting. Back in 2011-2012, we used to frequent this Café a lot. That was where we hung out. Suddenly, the food and coffee started getting too expense so we just became obsessed with Starbucks. Wayyy better!

          Now in 2013, we decided to go back and give it another go. It's still expensive. The desserts are delicious. They frappuchinos are...interesting. Definetly nothing compared to Starbucks. 

          The reason why I found this visit extra especial is because I laughed at myself. This was the first place where I cried about a guy for the first time. Ever. This place was where we would spend our fall and winter days. This place witnessed some of our most deep and embarrassing conversations. 

          As expensive as it gets, this place will always hold a special place in my heart. Not just because my sister and I visited a lot, but because my mom and I or my aunt and I would visit here, as well. I may not go as much as I used to but I still love it.

BTS: Supply Haul♡

          I am back with another BTS post. This one is all about my school supplies. And where would I go to get all of these materials? Target, of course! I like to call it Tarjayyy but some people are like "What's that?" so we'll just stick with Target.

          I'm that girl that will write in colorful pens and will highlight everything in different colors. The weird thing is that I do not like coloring, I don't know why, I just find it boring. I feel like now, teachers make us color more than in elementary school. 

          I usually don't care about caring for my textbooks because I'm usually really careful with them but I just couldn't pass up cute bookcovers! 

          Like I said, I love pens! I've had my eye on those Sharpie Pens but they're just too over priced. Target really does have it all because I saw Sharpie Pens for $1 each! Not only were they regular pens, they were pink and purple! Girly, much? ;D

 

    

         Another exciting thing I got was an agenda. Every year I make it my goal to actually use it. I have to because last year I started forgetting assignments and I had to wing it at the last minute, which was zero fun. I'm ready to color-code my agenda and put cute pictures on the cover. 

          I do not want to go back to school but I definitely do enjoy the shopping! Who's going back to school? High school, college? What are your favorite school supplies to shop for?

Radiancy:Summertime Sadness♡

           Hello, Lovelies! This week I haven't posted as much as I initially did (I'm sorry!), but that's because I'm planning posts and a schedule to work around for when school starts. One thing my brain came up with while doing the planning were series. I want to be able to share things I love and find interesting with everyone else without being boring. This happens to be one of those series.
          One of my best friends helped me come up with the title of the series, "Radiancy." Every week I will post pictures of things, home decor, make-up looks, hair, travel destinations, food, etc. Each week will have a certain focus. Additionally, the post might contain thoughts or a quote.
          I also decided to add a twist to the title.The title will be followed by the name of the song I am loving at the moment. The song information will be posted at the end of the post just in case you'd like to know more about it. This is also a way for you guys to get to know me better and what I like. No more long intro, so here we go...

Should We Dream?♡

          This is probably a cliché sounding post, but I am going to share a quick thought and ask you all a couple of questions.

          I strongly believe that we should all dream. We must set goals for ourselves. We need something to strive for. Without any of these things, we don't have an actual purpose. It's hard to know exactly what you want and not everything will turn out how we want to, yet we should be grateful about this because we learn more about ourselves and learn from mistakes that we or others make.

Here's all I know about my future:

-My career must entertain people. It must make people smile. It must help people is some way.

-I want to go to college.

-I want to experience living in a different city for a year, hopefully through an internship.

-Theater and/or fashion must be involved with my job.

          These things are some of my main indivual goals. I am huge dreamer and I tend to have lots of hope. I have faith that God has a beautiful plan for me. I know everything will turn out for the best. The main thing I ask God for is patience because I lack some of that. /.\

Favorite Cereals♡

          I love cereal. One thing I cannot live without is milk, so the fact that cereal exists makes it even more perfect. My mom doesn't like to have "junk" cereales around the house, therefore, I learned to love some of her favorites. 

Special K: Red Berries- This is originally my mother's pick. When I first tried it, I was instantly hooked. It is sooo good. The dry berries add a slight sour taste to it giving it a perfect balance with the sweetness of the rest of the cereal. 

Honey Bunches of Oats w/Almonds- I feel like this one is a classic. Most of the people I know have this cereal in their household whether they like it or not. For the most part, they're will be at least one person that enjoys this cereal in a family. It's just simply delicious. 

Krave- This is my favorite cereal.I love chocolate and this cereal has it. Some pieces have a little extra inside, which makes the spoonful ten times more tasty. One of the things that makes me sad about this one is that the bag contains more air than actual product. I know a lot of bagged items are like this, but somehow this one makes me the saddest. ;c I still really encourage you all to give it a try. You will love it. 

Cocoa Krispies- This cereal is just a childhood classic. When I was little, and even now, my favorite part was how the milk turned into a chocolaty paradise. It was chocolate milk but better. Unfortunately, my family consideres this a "junk" cereal so it is not consumed as much as the others. 

          I am a totally cereal kind-of-gal. I love trying new cereals and going back to old ones. I feel like cereal is something I could eat all day. What are so of your favorites? Have you tried any of these? What do you think? What's a food you could eat all day?

BTS Series: Fashion Basic Must Haves ♡

          Let me be honest, I consider stores like PacSun, J. Crew, Zara, and TopShop expensive. Those stores are a luxury for me. Of course, once in a while it's okay to splurge but I make sure that it's on something I really love and/or I can use over and over again. These are some of my BTS must have basics. I think that every girl, whether in high school or college, needs these items in order to build up their outfit. Stores, like some of the ones I mentioned, have these items. I wouldn't mind splurging on items that are going to be useful throughout a whole year of homework and projects. But I still made sure that I found the items at a nice price. Let's break them down:

1. Everyone needs camis. Camis are a must, especially when wearing see-through tops. My favorite use for camis is layering...can fall just get here already?!

2. I personally love hoodies and sweaters and everything cozy. These come very handy for when you wake up late or you're just not feeling it. A sweater with the school's name/logo is super important. I love football and I love going to the games on Friday nights so I make sure that I wear my sweater and show my team some love. Not everyone enjoys football but it's still nice to show school spirit, right?

3. A nice pair of jeans is a total must. You can dress them down or dress them up. Jeans go with almost everything and they could be a girls best friend.

4. I love shoes, and I don't own many shoes. These 3 are all I need as of now. Sneakers that go with everything you love (almost). Boots that add edge to your outfit. Flats that dress up your look. No mas. 

5. Blazers always spice up an outfit, they add a girly touch. A girl needs a leather jacket in their closet. Leather jackets over sweaters are my favorite look because it makes one look like a total sweater fashionista. 

6. Hats/Beanies are required because us girls tend to have bad hair days and we don't want to look like medusa. When you do have good hair days, a bow is perfect to glam your look up. Scarfs are simply fun and the cutefy an outfit. Is cutefy a word?... As an iPhone owner, I like to make sure my baby goes BTS in style as well, therefore, a new phone case is needed.

          As you can tell, most of these items make an outfit look really dressy and put together, and you're not even trying too hard! Plus, it won't hurt your wallet. Do you like these essentials? What are your BTS fashion must haves? What's the most you'd pay for an item?

Confidence Boosting Trend?♡

          2013 has been the year I've heard the term "Pop of Color" the most. I feel like every style segment on a magazine or talk show mentions it. I think that POC is a beautiful trend. I feel like it gives women a slight boost of confidence. A bold color doesn't have to be of only jeans or a blazer, it could be of a pair of earrings, or even a pair of shoes!

          With POC, I feel like it's more about the risk you're taking. You can play with it and make it your own. You could wear a bright pair of jeans and look fabulous but super laid back. Maybe use a POC with a classic color, like red. If you feel like you want to tone it down, then a bold pair of shoes is perfect for you. It's not too much, yet you still look like you took hours putting the outfit together. 

         Let's say you're an edgy girl but you want to go for a more...sophisticated look, go with your classic leather jacket but make it a light color. The edginess of the design of the jacket and the color balance out perfectly. You're using POC and still sticking with your style. 

         If I'm quite honest, POC intimidates me a little. You would think its hard to pull it off but all you need is a bright color that reflects your bright smile. Be confident. I was! Let's just say that there's a bright pair of blue jeans in my closet...

Celeb Hair Care: Selena Gomez♡

          Selena Gomez is hands down my "hair idol!" Now, when you say that out loud it sounds ridiculous, but it's true. Selena doesn't have perfect hair, even though it looks like it, but I love the way she styles it and the colors she chooses to dye her hair with. One of my favorites was definitely the ombré look- she totally rocked it!

                                               

          As a lover of her hair, I decided to do some research on it. I feel slightly stalker-ish but I am 100% sure that I'm not the only girl in this planet that loves her hair. 

Here's what I found out:

               ~ Ms. Gomez is a frequent costumer at Nine Zero One Salon in West Hollywood, CA.

               ~ In order to obtain her voluminous thick looking hair, she uses the Great Lenght Hair Extensions from hairUwear. 

               ~ She uses Bumble and Bumble's Deeep Conditioner, Gentle Shampo: Chemically Addicted?, and Shine On (and On) Finishing Spray.

BTS Series: Fun Notebooks♡

         This past weekend I went to the mall with my mom and we decided to make a quick stop at Cotton On. Ummm...there is no such thing as a "quick stop" when going to a store. I saw these notebooks and I fell in love with them. As you can tell, I have a slight obsession with NYC and Paris. No shame! 

         I had to get one. They were just so me and I am sure they're going to keep me from falling asleep during class. But then I saw the price... Almost $7 for ONE notebook. Heck no! That's when I saw a precious little sign that said, " 4 for $10." How could I pass this amazing deal? I just couldn't. These notebooks are perfect for note-taking. I love using bight colors and highlighters so these notebooks will make it even more fun for me. They have so many designs. I'm pretty sure they have something for everyone. I posted the link below the picture so you guys would be able to check them out. I definitely recommend them. 

I don't know about you, but going back to school is bittersweet for me. I enjoy learning but I just wish that there were no projects, finals, or homework. I also wished it started way later on the day because I love my sleep. The only reason I want to go back to school is because I get to go shopping. What kind of girl would I be if I didn't enjoy it?! So I decided to start this "Back To School" (BTS) series. I will be giving my tips for studying, school fashion, beauty, ect. Stay tuned for this!

Searching For Myself♡

     

          I'm laying here on my bed thinking of the perfect first post. I've been thinking about it for the last 24 hours, except when I'm sleeping of course. I came to the conclusion that there is no such thing as a "perfect post." I'm just typing whatever feels right, it might not sound right, but I hope that it makes sense. 

          I am a 15 year old girl who is learning everyday. I am in a journey to find myself. I'm at that point of my high school career that I do not know what to do with my life.  All I know is that whatever I do, it has to make people happy. It has to make people smile. I want to inspire and be inspired. I was sure of this when my 8th grade theatre teacher said to me "Oh my goodness! Araceli, you inspire me." That is something I will never forget. I feel like it was one of those moments that I will always look back to and it will influenced my present.  The idea of developing a blog of my own came from YouTube. I love watching beauty gurus do their thing.  Somehow, while watching a beauty video, I ended up on a fashion blog. I became fascinated by this world creativity and beauty. I researched all sorts of blogs and I became completely infatuated by them. I wanted to be just like them! I attempted to create my own blog and YouTube channel but I failed. It wasn't me. I was not meant to be like others. I am my own person. I drifted away from the beauty blogging scene for a while. My creativity became dull and boring. Now, I don't even have amazing creative skills, therefore, the absence of blogs and such really affected my creative aspects. 

          I'm not exactly sure how but I came to the conclusion that I love blogs. I just could not be me without them. They inspire me. They make me want to do something with my life. I don't want to develop a blog about fashion and beauty. I want to deliver a blog that has a little bit of everything. I've heard so many times that you should focus on one thing, but I honestly don't approve of that rule. I have passion and love for many things and I want to be able to learn more about them. So I created this blog. I do not want to create just another blog. I do not want to be like them. I want to be like me. I don't want to tell people how to live their life or what they should love. I want to learn from others and hopefully they will be able to learn from me, too. I might be only 15 but "age is just a number." (; 

          Unlike my other failed attempts, I actually took my time developing my idea for this blog. Of course, I'm still not 100% sure where exactly I want to go but I hope that while I share my ideas with others, I will be able to learn more about where I want to go. I have so many ideas that I forgot what they are...I should start writing them down. 

          Bluntly Beautiful was the first name I thought of. I really liked it.  And then I thought of "Forever Beautiful," but it was taken. I really wanted that one. I ended with my first choice. At first, I wasn't too happy about it. The more I thought about it the more I liked it. I've been described as a "blunt" person. I speak my mind. I do not care what people think about me. Somehow, respect is very important to me. If I say something to some, I must do it with respect. But in my opinion, respect is earned and not given. 

          I am nowhere near size 0 or 100 pounds. That ship sailed a looong time ago. I'm not perfect. I do not have the best self-steam. I'm working on it. I'm going to be "blunt" about it. I have beauty. You have beauty. Everything and everyone have beauty. Cliché much? ....sort of. It's true! The message that I'm hoping to deliver is that no matter your physical image, you should do what you love. Be straight up about yourself as a person. Laugh at yourself once in a while. Be real. Be honest. Love yourself. Appreciate yourself. Respect yourself. Love the beauty that surrounds you. Look at the subset and admire it. Before bed, compliment the moon's beauty. When you're about to eat a bowl of fruit, appreciate the colors they're made of. Simple things might make you the happiest. 

          The Simplicity of Being Yourself means that there's no need to try to be someone you're not. You should not have to work extra super hard to be someone you're not. Be yourself. That's the simplest it is going to get.
